Rights Respecting School
We have achieved Gold (Level 2) of the Unicef Rights Respecting School award and are working towards our reaccreditation in June 2019. This work is led by our Rights Champions who make sure that we put the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child at the heart of everything we do to help every child develop their full potential. We learn about children's rights and make sure that we put them into practice every day.
We have a number of sports clubs that run after school. We also have links with some of the local clubs. Please see our "useful information" page for more details.
The Eco-Schools programme helps us to learn more about different environmental issues. We learn about these as part of our curriculum and we also have a special week each year which is a whole school focus and celebration of what we have learned about the environment.
The Children’s University helps us to develop new interests and acquire new skills both during and outside of the school day. We have a graduation ceremony for Year 4 pupils towards the end of the school year to celebrate our learning activities.
